Hiroko Shono, an illustrator who uses pens and sumi ink to create works with a gentle atmospheric quality.
Through ART MODELLISTA, she fulfilled her long-held wish to "draw cute cars."
Among MODELLISTA's product line, which primarily emphasizes power and strength, she focused on the adorable charm of the Prius's "Signature Illumination." She attempted to express the presence of cars as companions in various life scenarios in a way that allows each viewer to imagine their own story.
During the creation process, she struggled to harmonize her expressive style with vehicle depiction. Rather than calculated composition, she valued the inspiration that suddenly came to her on the train, continuing to experiment until just before completing the artwork. The result is a soft piece that leaves ample room for imagination.
Currently exploring challenges in new forms of expression, she is preparing for her next endeavor while harboring possibilities for creative work different from her previous efforts.

TOYOTA Prius
MODELLISTA has enhanced the Prius—a vehicle combining environmental performance with captivating design and driving dynamics—creating an even more vibrant style that stirs emotions.
The elegant light expression of the original "Signature Illumination" part particularly stimulated Shono's artistic curiosity, bringing a new radiance to her work's aesthetic vision.
