Inspired by an early interest in origami, D.Hinklay began self-taught exploration of a new artistic genre. After posting images of his work on social media, the uniqueness and artistic quality of his creations attracted recognition, with international media featuring his work and appearances on Japanese television gradually raising his profile.
His artworks have been sold primarily overseas, reaching collectors in over 40 countries. In 2018, he successfully launched a crowdfunding campaign to finance a group exhibition in Japan, and that same year held his first solo exhibition in Taiwan.
His ambition is to become the preeminent artist in the book folding genre while gaining worldwide recognition in the broader art world, with the goal of holding solo exhibitions globally.

The piece also embodies his desire to introduce the still relatively unknown art form of book folding to a wider audience. Through his participation in ART MODELLISTA, he has embraced a new artistic challenge that he considers a pivotal moment in his creative journey.
